Frequently Asked Questions

How much do sessions cost?

I work both face to face and online. My fee for a 50 minute session is £55 payable by BACS.

How does online counselling work?

I will send you a link to join me on a zoom call, if there are any problems with the connection I will call you.

Who do you work with?

I work with individuals who are looking to understand themselves and have support to make changes to improve their quality of life.

How many sessions do I have to sign up for?

It is up to you. There is no commitment to have any particular number of sessions, you get to decide. You may well decide I am not the right person for you after the first session, or you may feel that you would like to work long term as you feel comfortable and ready to make changes. This is an important relationship and finding the right person for you may take time.

How long should I expect to be in therapy?

You don’t have to be in therapy for a particular amount of time, it is something we can explore together. You may only want to have a few sessions to start with and realise you would like more, or the opposite.

Is there client confidentiality in our sessions?

Yes. However as with all counselling there may be situations which mean that I cannot guarantee this. I will explain this clearly to you and this is all outlined in the written information I send to you, and in my privacy policy. You can ask for clarification on anything that isn’t clear.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you give me 48 hours notice, there is no fee for cancelling a session. I can also try and offer an alternative time if you prefer. If you provide less than 48 hours notice of cancellation, you may be liable for the full fee.

How often do I come?

I find weekly works best and it will be the same day and time every week. If there is a reason why a regular time doesn’t work for you, an example of this could be you work shifts, we can find a way that works and maintains consistency.

I work on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and my availability changes so we can discuss this in our phone call.
